CFM Vision Statement

The Canadian Floor Masters are Canada's oldest performing bboy crew.  CFM has a detailed history that dates back to 1983 which includes performances like opening for James Brown, La La La Human Steps, Ice T, Grand Master Flash, Blackeyed Peas, George Clinton, performing for Russia's Kirov Ballet, and conducting workshops for the Cirque Du Soeil. We have a strong respect for our past and the history of bboying around the world.

The CFM family is one for life and our guiding principles are reflected in that Bboy Anthem created by James Brown and Africa Bambatta. "Peace, Unity, Love, and having Fun".

Peace - It is important to be at peace with oneself and with others, understanding why we dance and how our involvement as Bboy and Bgirl's impacts our daily lives as human beings with great heart's and great potential.

Unity - The crew old and new is family and family is important. We have each others backs in and out of the Cypher. The larger world of Bboys/Bgirls and Hiphop is also important.  CFM is about building bridges and unity within these extended families and the community we live in.

Love - Love of the Dance, Love of the Crew,  Love of Oneself,  Love of Life.  Without such love and passions life would be meaningless.  Love is the positivity and a driving force to help keep perspective on life.

Fun - We can work hard and be dedicated to personal and crew excellence -but at the end of the day if must be fun.  And the friendships and memories that develop through involvement in this dance and culture are the most precious gifts.

We are based out of the Ottawa/Gatineau Region of Canada.
