(Absolute Canadian Bboy)

These awards are given out at “Cypher North” to Canadian bboys and Bgirls who have contributed and made a difference in our community of dance.  They are selected by Buddha in consultation with other Bboys and Bgirls active in the Canadian Scene. 

This year we had 4EverFresh (Raul) honored as our first ever Western Bboy. We were also pleased to present LazyLegz from Montreal an award for his dedication and inpiration to others as well as Illimatic Styles crew from Montreal

Canadian Bboy/Bgirl recognition awards 2000

1: Bag of Trix - for repin Canada In BOTY and UK bboy championship.

2: Matt Sparks ( Coach from original CFM), for everything he did to help with the Ottawa scene. Matt is currently with the cirque de Soleil in europe.

3: Kujo - Made honorary Absolute Canadian Bboy

 

Canadian Bboy/bgirl recognition awards 2001

1: Megus - from Boggie Brats and DDT ( For reppin Canada at Seattle's Red bull event -placed second with Kmel.

2: Dyzee - from Toronto's Supernaturalz crew. - for reppin Canada and placing first in the singles competition at the Rock Steady anniversary in New York.

3: Dazzle - from Montreal's Flow Rock. For having a huge bboy heart and still being in the game - with 6 kids being raised in the culture.

1:SuperNaturals Crew - for helping grow and promote the bboy scene in Canada with all their Back to the Underground events.

2: Dysfunksyn Crew from Montreal - This all Bgirl crew reps hard having produced its own fringe festival production, Repped at ProAm and where also a part of the Canada Dance Festival

3: Gizmo- from "Bag of Trix" This is the first year for the prestigious life time achievement award. If you don't know about Gizmo - go home and learn about some Canadian history!

 

Canadian Bboy/Bgirl recognition awards 2003

1:Lil Bear - From Canadian Floor Masters - One of Canada's first Bgirls - always helping and promoting what Women have to offer in this culture.

2: Shebang of Toronto - For reppin strong at Rock Steady Anniversary and for organizing and promoting events in Toronto

     3: Bboy Pieces - Very talented up and coming young Bboy - massive talent - yet still humble. Being a nice guy still counts in Buddha's opinion.

4: DKC Freeze (Original New Energy -Old School crew from Montreal and currently FlowRock. Turning 40 soon - don't sleep on my man. Recipient of the life time achievement award.

Canadian Bboy/Bgirl recognition awards 2005

1: Crazy Smooth - From Canadian Floor Masters - One of the first Bboys to ever receive a dance grant to study our history in New York from the Canada Council of the Arts. Reppin strong at Seattle's Bumbershoot, Pro Am, and teaching workshops for Cirque Du Soleil. Also on a mission to learn our history and share with others.

2: RedMask Crew - Montreal - Reppin and winning many events including War is War for 3 years straight.

   3: Deadly Mike -Toronto - Innovative styles that have influenced many others in the game worldwide. I'll leave it at that !!!

1: 4EverFresh (Raul) years of dedication and influnece in the  Western Canadian Bboy scene  - regarded highly as innovative and sharing of his  wisdom and skills to younger Bboys.

2: LazyLegz - Illimatic Styles Montreal  - dedicated and highly  inspirational to others that Bboying is a culture open to all.  Organized ProAm Montreal and being recognized worldwide as a role model for youth with  disabilities.

3: Illimatic Crew - One of montreals finest  - making noise  outside of Canada reppin strong.  Tight routines -solid battle cats - big hearts !

Canadian Bboy/Bgirl recognition awards 2007

1: SkyWalker from Tacticle Crew -  Love em or hate them  - Under the guidance of Johnny Skywalker they have been a force to reckon with in the Montreal scene. Skywalker was also a BeatRiders camp participant reppin Canada and puts on “War is War” Bboy comp.

2: Bgirl Lynx, This Bgirl brings it raw in the Cyphers with anyone -she also took top Bgril in Rock Steady Crews Anniversary reppin Canada proud -well deserved.

3: Style Lords Crew out of Hamilton  -10 years of dedicated history - often helping drive the Toronto scene forward. Lots of jams - Winning events, profile in the media, and inspiring new Bboys and Bgirls to come correct.
